International Dog Show in Warszawa. Again the winners are two Czechoslovakian SHEPHERDS (long dogs with very overangulated legs and (un)typical GSD-movement)....
It would be really great if the Slovakian CzW Club will start a big campain among the judges to show them how a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog should look like... Because the situation on the dog shows is getting worser and worser....

Sad we are not the only country with such problems.... Confused

BTW: It is not the point that the dogs are ugly. NO!

BTW: It is not the point that the dogs are ugly. NO! They are very nice animals - great dogs. The only problem is that the do not have the main characteristics of CzWs. Especially Eetee is a dog which GSD fans will LOVE - she has the movement like a good German Shepherd Dog from the show line... But what is nice by Shepherd is a huge fault by Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs... It is why I find it very sad when a "GSD" is winning a show because it means that the degeneration of our breed (read: selection of some breeders which goal is to come back to the GSD-type) is spreading on the dog shows...

But what shocked the people who participated the show was that one more time the judge tolerated the behavior of the owner and the dog. During the dog show in Łodz the owner of Czambor kicked the dog in the ring because he was angry on him. The judge noticed it but have done nothing serious against the cruel behavior of the owner. Now it was even worser - the dog tried to attack the judge and other dogs so it was not possible to evaluate the dog. The judge asked owners of other two males to leave the ring to be able to judge Czambor... Sorry - but such agressive bahaviour where not even the owner is able to control the dog should NEVER be awarded with CWC and CACIB. Especaily that it is not one time when the dog had "bad humour" but aggression and demands to attack also the judge repeat over and over again... Confused

Margo but it's nice to see

Margo but it's nice to see that the person who talks badly about the behaviour of other dogs, who puts videos online to discredit other dogs, has such problems with his own dog, it's so simple what goes around comes around

.... becasue vlcaks teach

.... becasue vlcaks teach their owners modesty and humility... How much I love them for this trait!

Yes they do everyday they

Yes they do Smile everyday they teach us something new about themselves and about the nasty world Laughing out loud

That's rigth "Pan Bóg

That's rigth "Pan Bóg nierychliwy, ale sprawiedliwy" (God is tardy, but righteous) Wink Now own wolfdogs discredit exactly the person whose goal in life seems to be slandering other CzW owners.

I think they teach us something about OURSELVES

I think they teach us something about OURSELVES Wink and the GREAT world of theirs . World, in which love means Love, hate - Hate, and there are many shades of grey colour. Wink

the thing is that I know

the thing is that I know myself, unfortunately Confused he just helps me to deal with my emotions, he lets me know that now is the time to breathe and not get furious, maybe this is the reason why he is so tuned into me and the reason why he is such a careful watcher of our environment. Which helps me a lot, he always notices something suspicious Smile

Believe me, your vlcak knows you better :D

Hehehe Rona I think he

Hehehe Rona I think he notices the mood swings faster than I do Smile and so he instantly reacts. It is just amazing how they know what is in our heads Smile this is one of the things that I'm talking about how this "different vlcak" could do all the things that typical vlcak can.

I'm not sure to what extent

I'm not sure to what extent character and appearance correspond with each other. Wolf-looking dogs may have GSD-like temperament and the other way round. Our dogs have mosaic-like distribution of wolf & dog characteristics and I would be very cautious on assessing their temperament solely on basis of their looks and behaviour at dog shows. It would be like evaluating a human on the basis of their performance at public presentations.

Rona of course nice wolfish

Rona of course nice wolfish head is great but for me the most important is the built, it was the reason why I chose vlcak as a next breed, I never wanted a wolf, I wanted a healthy dog and Uro is like that, of course, let's be clear he doesn't have the perfect vlcak built but he is very agile, very fast, very jumpy, his character is a mixture, he has different behaviours just like we humans have. What I mean about heavier dogs (I'm not saying big because big dog with good built can behave as crazy as the smaller one Wink ) is that they are calmer, this can be great since we have some problems in the breed but with some vlcaks it goes almost to the extreme they are too calm, not interested in anything which for me is weird since I thought that curiousity is one of the vlcak's traits. I hope I explained that more clearly than before Smile

Haha. guess why I have Alistair's daughter at home

Haha. guess why I have Alistair's daughter at home Tongue Laughing out loud I fell in love with her figure, movement and .... personality. Smile

About the built... Vlcak HAVE

About the built... Vlcak HAVE to look healthy and agile, jumpy, but also strong. Just like amongst wolves, they're different types od bodies amongst Vlcaks : some are smaller, some bigger, with bigger bones, heavier. Don't get me wrong, I do not promote Czechoslovakian Sheperds, just saying that Mother Nature has made different types od wolves : the biggest take the lead in the pack... Because they're stronger : and again, if they're not agile and too calm.. They won't be good at hunting... Then those Sheperds you're talking about have nothing to do with Vlcaks at all..
Vlcaks should look wolfish, with a great healthy body (and mind, which for them is crazy and curious Tongue)... Or they're not vlcaks

He can criticize us, but he's

He can criticize us, but he's even worse.. These virtual "attacks" against us only reflects his own complex Wink

Anyway, what's wrong with the judges ?? Who gives a CWC or CACIB for such behaviour (dog's and owner's one) ?

Yes, his private wars against (almost) all breeders

Yes, his private wars against (almost) all breeders and owners in Poland are one thing. What worry me much more is his promotion of the Czechoslovakian Shepherds and apparent acting to the detriment of our breed. If people like he will be not stopped our breed will end in a short time exactly like German Shepherds... The story will reapeat...

I understand that what

I understand that what worries everyone is the breed itself... I fell in love with Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs, and I really canNOT think about having another dog... And I certainly don't want those people to promote this breed in such a way, so we'll end up having sick dogs...

Not only sick but different,

Not only sick but different, sick is one thing there are more and more dogs who have no vlcak character, they are very calm, behaving as if they were too heavy, they are not jumpy and crazy happy as vlcaks should be. They are sad looking, not eager to play, they are just different

I can't tell anything because

I can't tell anything because I haven't seen any other Vlcak apart from mine.. But they're not like other dogs Wink
